Why do the gauges show different numbers than the table below them?
The Plan Submissions and Digital Order Submissions gauges at the top of the Funnel Report show national-level numbers and don't change when a Division, Region, Area, or Market filter is applied. The table below the gauges responds to location filters and shows numbers for the selected area.
Note: Applying a market filter still shows the national total in the gauges while the table shows the filtered numbers. This is expected behavior.
Why does my project count look different when filtering by location vs. by customer segment?
Location is assigned based on the most advanced step in a project's lifecycle: an order placed, a quote published, a quote created, or an estimate request, in that order of priority. If none of these steps have occurred, location defaults to a nightly BFS feed showing the area where the customer does most of their business.
A project has no location assigned only when it's a new customer with no myBLDR activity and no BFS sales history to reference. Filtering by location excludes these unassigned projects from the count; removing the location filter includes them. This is expected behavior, not missing data.
Why do duplicate division or region names appear in the filter dropdown?
Some divisions or regions appear twice in the filter dropdown (for example, both East and East Division). Both entries refer to the same geography and return identical results.
Why does my Digital Order Rate look very low or very high?
Digital Order Rate is calculated as myBLDR orders divided by total ERP orders. ERP orders are typically higher than myBLDR orders, since the rate tracks progress toward more orders moving through myBLDR, so this gap is expected.
The rate for Single Family customers is typically around 6-7%. A significantly different number may indicate a segment or time period filter with low order volume.
Note: A rate of 100% likely indicates the report is pulling from an incorrect data source. Contact the reporting team.
I can see projects in my market, but the numbers seem low. Is data missing?
Project counts can appear lower than expected for a few reasons:
Projects without invoice history don't appear when filtering by location, since location is assigned based on invoice records.
SF National accounts (large national builders) are excluded from some views. Confirm whether national accounts are included in the current filter when reviewing Single Family data.
The report reflects data as of the last refresh, so recently created projects may not appear yet.
Contact the reporting team with a specific example if counts still look incorrect after checking these items.
What do the customer segments mean?
The Funnel Report filters by customer segment:
Single Family. Builders constructing single-family homes, including production and custom builders.
Multifamily. Builders constructing apartment buildings, condos, or other multi-unit residential properties.
RR. Repair and Remodel customers, such as general contractors doing renovation work.
Other. Customers that don't fit the above categories.
Unknown. Customers not yet assigned to a segment in the source system.
Note: SF National accounts (large national homebuilders) are a subset of Single Family, not a separate segment. Whether they're included depends on the KPI: Plan Submissions excludes SF National accounts, since national builders typically build the same home repeatedly under an established pricing agreement and don't require a plan for each project. Digital Order Submissions includes SF National accounts, since they remain part of the Single Family segment for order tracking. This difference in denominator is the most likely cause when the two KPIs don't align.
I can't access the Funnel Report. What should I do?
If the report doesn't open or returns an error:
Confirm the BFS account has the correct Power BI permissions.
Try a different browser or clear the browser cache.
Wait a few minutes and refresh if the report shows a blank page or loading error. The report refreshes daily and may be temporarily unavailable during that window.
Contact a manager or the reporting team to confirm access has been granted if the issue continues.
Why do my numbers change when I adjust the date filter?
The Funnel Report is based on the date a project (or ERP job) was created, not the date of each individual stage. Filtering by date filters which projects were created in that window, then shows how far those projects have progressed since.
A narrow or recent date range shows fewer projects at later funnel stages, since recently created projects haven't had time to move through quoting, ordering, and invoicing yet. Earlier date ranges generally show higher completion at later stages, since those projects have had more time to progress. This is expected behavior.
What does each stage of the funnel mean?
The Funnel Report tracks a project from creation to invoice:
Projects created. A new project was started in myBLDR by a builder or BFS employee.
Plans uploaded. A set of plans was attached to the project. A plan is required before a quote can be generated.
Quotes created. A material takeoff quote was created for the project.
Quotes published. The quote was reviewed and sent to the customer for consideration.
Orders placed. The customer placed an order through myBLDR based on the published quote.
Invoiced. BFS fulfilled the order and created an invoice. This is the final stage.
Note: Not every project reaches every stage. A project can stall at any point, for example, a plan uploaded with no quote created yet, or a quote published with no order placed. Drop-off between stages is normal and expected.
