FAQ and Troubleshooting Guide

SLA Timelines

When does the SLA clock start?

The SLA timeline begins the day after the purchase order is received, but only after the intake form is 100% complete. This includes scene, time of day, materials placed in the home, staging, and all other required selections. The Delivery Coordinator notifies you if the intake is incomplete, and the SLA clock doesn't start until all information is received.

How is the expected delivery date communicated?

After all intake and purchase order information is received, the Delivery Coordinator provides an expected delivery date for the project.

Are SLA timelines guarantees?

SLA timelines are anticipated timelines, not guarantees. A Confluence page outlines current capacity to provide a general ballpark for timing. If a deadline is going to be missed, the Delivery Coordinator communicates that to the customer in advance.

What happens if a deadline is missed?

If a deadline is missed, it's communicated to the customer. There's no standard remediation policy, as this happens infrequently. Issues are handled on a case-by-case basis in coordination with a manager.

Does each item in a Mix & Match Pack have its own SLA?

No. All items in a pack are delivered at once. Each deliverable type (such as images) shares the same SLA. The Delivery Coordinator provides a single delivery date for the pack as a whole after all intake and purchase order information is complete.

How much time do additional elevations or design options add?

There are no standard increments — timelines vary depending on the options requested. Submit a help desk ticket for a custom Level of Effort (LOE) with pricing and days to complete.

Project Size and Scope

What if the project is larger than 8,000 sq. ft.?

Almost all Render services specify timelines for homes up to 8,000 sq. ft. Larger homes are considered custom orders with custom pricing and timing. Submit a help desk ticket to request a custom LOE with the number of days and pricing to complete.

What else triggers custom pricing or extended timelines?

Anything beyond a standard home — such as a pool, custom landscaping, or custom assets — is considered custom and requires an LOE. Submit a help desk ticket to initiate that process.

What does "Site Solved" mean?

Site Solved refers to a home designed specifically for a lot or customer — it's not a master set with multiple elevations or design options. As long as the project isn't a master set, it qualifies as Site Solved. No additional site information or extra steps are required before the SLA clock starts.

Revisions

What's included in a round of revisions?

Multiple change requests can be submitted simultaneously in a single round. Revisions are limited to correcting issues with the original submitted plans — new additions or changes to the original plan aren't included and may incur additional charges.

The following contract language governs revision requests:

"Revision requests must be submitted within 30 days from date Deliverables are first provided to Customer for each of the two revisions. If longer than 30 days with no response, the project will be marked complete and a new project will be opened and additional charges will be incurred. Revisions are to correct issues with the original submitted plans by customer, not to make new additions/changes to the original plan. Additional charges will be incurred in this case. Accurate modeling and visualization of a home plan requires detailed information from constructable house plans, material examples, and specifications. Customer will provide the necessary information, finish detail specifications, furnishing details (if applicable), documentation, and resources to allow Provider to deliver the above scope. Delays due to incomplete information, extended response times from Customer, or lack of supporting documentation will impact timelines and potentially cost."

What happens if out-of-scope revisions are requested?

Out-of-scope revisions go through a custom LOE process. Additional cost and days are provided, and timelines are extended accordingly.

How long do in-scope revisions take?

In-scope revisions are typically completed within 5 business days. The Delivery Coordinator communicates the updated timeline.

Deliverables

Is there a portal to track project status?

No. There's no project tracking dashboard available at this time. Submit a help desk ticket for status inquiries or contact the Delivery Coordinator directly.

Are interim drafts provided during production?

No. Only final deliverables are sent.

What file formats are delivered?

Videos are delivered in web-ready formats. Photos can be printed. Output format can't be customized — industry standard formats are delivered for all projects.

Is there an intake checklist to share with customers?

Yes. Digital Tools intake forms are available on the Digital Tools intake forms page. The most common cause of delays is incomplete selections information for the home.

How does combining Render with Home Configure affect timing?

When deliverables are for the same home, the Home Configure model is used to set up the Render deliverables. Both products are delivered separately as each is ready. There's no combined timeline or combined quote.

Pricing and Bundling

Can Render services be bundled for a discount?

Images can be bundled with a project that includes a video or virtual tour for $200 per image, rather than purchasing a 5-pack. Render and Home Configure don't have a combined quote.

What happens if the customer changes their mind after production begins?

Changes to finishes, floor plans, or options after production has started require a custom LOE. Additional cost and timeline impact depend on the scope of the changes. Extra charges follow the standard Sales Order/Purchase Order process after customer confirmation.

Is expedited or rush service available?

No. Rush or priority ordering isn't currently offered.

Can Render visuals be used in advertising?

Yes, as long as the architecture belongs to the customer. Visuals can be used across print, digital, MLS, and social media channels. The Virtual Tour has a yearly hosting fee due after the first year. Refer to legal policies for full usage terms.

Sales Support

Where can I find sample deliverables to show customers?

Examples for each service type are available in Showpad. Submit a help desk ticket if a customer is looking for something specific not found there. Standard marketing materials are available for general use.

What messaging should I avoid when selling Render?

Don't make claims about guaranteed delivery timelines or unlimited changes. Refer to current marketing materials and the Render production capacity page to guide customer conversations.
