Address Validation Error When Creating a Project
Issue: The following error appears when saving a project address: "We are having trouble validating your project's city, state, and zip code. Please check the fields for accuracy."
Solution: myBLDR validates addresses using USPS. To verify the address, use the USPS Zip Code Lookup tool.
Note: If the project doesn't yet have an established address, temporarily enter the local BFS location address or the builder's address. After the project address is established, update the project details to reflect the correct address. |
"Failed to Create Project" Error
Issue: An error message reading "Failed to create project" appears when creating a new project.
Solution: This error is generally caused by a project name that exceeds the character limit. Limit the project name to 40 characters or less.
Uploaded Documents Don't Appear in a Project
Issue: Documents uploaded to a project don't appear immediately.
Solution: It can take 15–20 minutes for uploaded documents to appear. If documents still don't appear after 20 minutes, hard reload the project page by pressing Ctrl+F5.
A Document Upload Is Stuck in "File Processing"
Issue: A document upload stalls at the "File Processing" stage.
Solution: This is typically caused by a temporary system issue. Delete the file from myBLDR and upload it again.
A PDF Upload Fails Repeatedly
Issue: A PDF upload fails every time it's attempted.
Solution: The PDF file is likely partially corrupted. Obtain a fresh copy of the PDF from its source — such as a server or email — and upload the new copy.
Two Projects Can't Be Merged
Issue: The merge option is unavailable for a project.
Solution: Projects that already have orders submitted through myBLDR can't be merged into other projects. Additionally, homebuilders aren't permitted to merge their own projects. If the merge option is available, OSRs and the help desk team can merge two projects by selecting the ellipsis (…) menu on the source project's row and selecting Merge.
