What is a Master Set Quote?
Quotes in myBLDR can be configured as a Master Set Quote — a master version of a quote with elevations and options from which lot-specific quotes can be generated.
Master Set Quotes are configured similarly to OnLine Spreadsheets. OnLine spreadsheets can also be imported and configured as Master Set Quotes.
Quote Display Issues
Why are quotes from some markets missing from my Quote Dashboard?
If more than 100 quotes aren't displaying, first make sure the Quote Dashboard is active by turning on the Use New Quote Dashboard toggle in the upper-right corner. Then, select the Search Quotes field to display the Search Quotes dialog. Select More to expand search options and scroll to the bottom of the dialog. Use the Max Results selection to display up to 1000 results.
Why does my quote appear to be empty?
If the quote contains items but appears blank or says "No results found," the wrong option may be selected in the Views menu in Quote Manager. Locate the Views menu and make sure Expanded is selected.
Why does Quote Manager show in-stock SKUs as non-stock?
Check the following:
Determine if a new SAP account has been created for this customer. Orders entered under old accounts will show all SKUs as non-stock.
Make sure the quote location is set correctly.
The quote may need to be refreshed. To refresh the quote, open Quote Settings by selecting the gear icon in the upper-right corner, then select Refresh under Pricing Refresh Model.
Why can't I see the new pack I just created?
New packs aren't displayed in Quote Manager until a SKU has been assigned to the pack. Check what packs have been created by selecting the Packs button in Quote Manager.
Editing and Saving Issues
Why can't I edit anything in a quote?
If a quote can't be edited and the line items are grayed out, the quote was likely imported with the Link to ERP Quote option enabled. This option enables automatic updates from the ERP in real-time, but makes the quote read-only in myBLDR. Key functions such as the import button, manage packs, add new line item, and overrides are disabled for linked quotes.
To update the quote, either update it in the ERP system or delete the quote and re-import it without selecting Link to ERP Quote.
Why can't I save after selecting the market and/or sales rep for a quote?
A task category hasn't been added yet. At least one task category is required to save a quote. The task category can be changed later if needed.
Why can't I add a new OSR to the Sales Rep field?
Some markets don't allow in-field changes to sales rep selections. Submit a myBLDR help desk ticket to request that the new sales rep be set up.
Pricing and Tax Issues
Why does my quote have error messages due to no pricing information?
The quote location may be incorrect. To check or change it, open Quote Settings by selecting the gear icon in the upper-right corner of Quote Manager. If the location is correct, try refreshing the quote by opening Quote Settings and selecting Refresh under Pricing Refresh Model.
Why am I getting a warning that an item has a margin below the target margin when my margin meets the target?
This can occur due to differences in rounding. Selecting Clear Warning eliminates the warning and prevents it from returning.
Why is tax being applied to the delivery charge?
Delivery charges aren't automatically exempt from tax in Quote Manager. To apply a 0% tax rate, place the delivery charge in its own pack, select Add Pack Override (the + icon on the pack header), and select Tax Rate from the menu.
Submission and Upload Issues
Why do I receive an error when I try to submit a quote?
Extra spaces may be present in the address. Check for and remove any extra spaces at the beginning and end of the address, then try submitting again.
Why can't I upload a material list in Quote Manager?
The file name may be too long or may contain special characters. Limit the file name to 30 characters or less, remove any special characters, then try uploading again.
How do you set up partial pack ordering?
Partial pack ordering requires three settings to be turned on in Quote Settings. To set up partial pack ordering:
In the Materials module, open the quote and select the gear icon to open Quote Settings.
Turn on the Display Packs toggle.
Turn on the Display Pack Totals toggle.
Turn on the Partial Pack Ordering toggle.
Other Issues
Why isn't Quote Manager remembering the location code?
Quote Manager remembers the last saved location per quote category. If a quote category is added that hasn't been saved in a quote before, Quote Manager has nothing to remember. After a quote is saved with that category and location, it will be remembered for future quotes.
Why is Quote Manager assigning a quote to the wrong team?
Quote Manager assigns quotes based on the selected quote category. If a quote appears to be assigned incorrectly, submit a myBLDR help desk ticket.
Why are the material lists missing from the customer view for a published quote?
If SKUs aren't listed in the customer view, the order was likely submitted as, or changed to, an IL (contract) order. IL orders don't show material lists in the customer view until the contract is closed. After the contract closes, material lists should appear in the customer view within 24 hours.
Why do I get the error "There was an error requesting a new bid" when opening the Materials module?
This error appears when a bid has already been created, but a cache error causes the Request Quotes For screen to load instead of Quote Manager. Press Ctrl+F5 to force a hard reload.
Can changes be made to a published quote?
Change requests for a published quote are directed to the builder's OSR, not myBLDR Support.
